Personal histories

Medium: monotype on voile

Personal Histories reflects my ongoing exploration of memory and perception – central themes within my practice. Originally created to celebrate L-J and Laurence’s wedding, the artworks offer a glimpse into places and people that hold deep significance for them, weaving together fragments of memory and emotion. Gradually, the work moves beyond personal tribute to examine how intimate narratives are constructed and transformed over time. Through delicate monotype impressions on translucent voile, the pieces evoke the fleeting nature of time – moments where memory and dream, past and present, converge in a quiet dialogue.
The choice of voile as a surface introduces a sense of fragility and transparency, echoing the impermanence of recollection and the layered complexity of personal histories. This work invites viewers to contemplate how love and memory shape the spaces we inhabit and the narratives we carry forward.
